Tech Center

The SMS, Inc. Tech Center in Columbus, Indiana is not just a fancy showroom with gleaming machines on display … in fact, it's not a fancy showroom with gleaming machines! It is a working facility dedicated to the very important job of helping us decide which machine(s) would best satisfy your unique needs.

The Tech Center fulfils several important roles: naturally it functions as a showroom – where potential customers can view machinery "in the flesh" and gain a hands-on appreciation of the equipment offered – plus, SMS, Inc. itself.

The Tech Center is also a test cutting facility. Customers are welcome to visit and see first-hand test cuts being conducted on their own materials. Of course, not everyone can make it to Columbus, Indiana – and it is also not necessary: we are happy to receive materials and do test cutting on your behalf. We video the process and a DVD will be returned to you along with the cut samples. This service is generally free.

The machinery in the Tech Center is also the pool from which we select machines for trade shows.

Tech Center machines generally are sold after 2-4 years. These machines have never been in production and to all intents and purposes are 'as new'. They are offered out at discounted prices – but, of course, with our full 12 months parts/labor warranty. Demand is high for these machines, so keep your eye on our 'SPECIAL DEALS' page …
